This year, I have a thrilling opportunity to compete at the IRB World Championships held at Kurrawa Beach on the Gold Coast. This international competition allows me to race in challenging beach conditions alongside competitors from around the world, providing invaluable experience to enhance my skills in IRB racing. For those unfamiliar, IRB racing involves high-speed maneuvers and rescue practices using the iconic orange rescue boats seen on many beaches. It's a sport that not only sharpens our lifesaving abilities but also prepares us to assist anyone in need on the beach efficiently.

My club, the Coogee Beach Surf Life Saving Club, has made arrangements through an agent to facilitate our travel.
