I made it to Tokyo, to the most unusual Paralympic games in recent history, and I'm keen to get to compete in front of a crowd, so I'm on the Path to Paris.

Why Archery?

When I was 14 I promised my Nanna that she would see me compete as a Paralympian. She drove me to and from the range for years when I was a kid, and said that all she wants from me is that I make it count. I'm sure I've made her proud by competing on the world stage and upholding my childhood promise. Competing in the Tokyo 2020 "Covid" Paralympic Games

Why Paris?

The Tokyo Games were historically unique. I have so many stories I can tell you about the journey to the covid games. The small garage I trained in to keep form and consistency high, travelling across the other side of the world twice while the rest of the world sat still, the quarantines, the impact it had for my family. 

One of the most challenging moments was while still training in order to be at our most peak performance for our events, the Paralympians were being told that if the Olympians caught covid and it impacted the world dramatically, then the Paralympics could all still be called off. 

Imagine training for half your life for an event, and being told to get to peak performance after the event got delayed by a year, yet to keep in mind that if things go badly it may not be on. The mental fortitude of my cohort is outstanding.

How was Tokyo?

Incredible. We were treated as Gods among men, and I loved every minute of being there. It would have been fully realised if we could have had a live audience, and (of course) if I had achieved Gold, though that's what Paris 2024 is for eh? Haha! 

Help me make an impact

Help me get to Paris, to be an inspiration to kids everywhere who think they could do something but are afraid to try. If a one handed person can do a two handed sport at the world's most elite level, anything is possible.
