Team AUS 5 is made up of two childhood friends from WA, who've teamed up in the mixed 470 for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. As a team, we know the legacy of the 470 class in Australian Sailing has been a staple for our country for over two decades. We plan to maintain this dominance at the Olympic Games in Paris 2024.

2024 Season

The next 9 months, Nia and Conor aim to train and compete locally, Nationally and overseas on the world stage in an attempt to gain invaluable experience and skills which will leapfrog our team. The proposed schedule includes:

  • Lanzarote Training Camp 8th- 25th of January 
  • 470 World Championships 27th Feb- 3rd March
  • Princess Sofia Regatta/ Hempel World Cup 1st-6th April
  • Hyeres French Olympic Week 22nd-27th April
  • 470 European Championships 7th-12th May
  • Olympic Games 2024 26th July- 12 August

Regatta objectives

  • 470 World Championships: Top 10
  • Princess Sofia Regatta/ Hempel World Cup: Top 10 
  • Hyeres French Olympic Week: Top 10
  • 470 European Championships: Top 5
  • Olympic Games 2024: GOLD
