Tennis across the ACT and Region is thriving, and will get even bigger with the recent announcement of the Amaroo Tennis Centre. We need your support to realise the ambition of a larger clubhouse…  This is the first tennis facility in the Gungahlin region that will cater to the northern suburbs of the rapidly growing region (projected to be over 100,000 population).

The facility will cater for all ages and abilities with Tennis Hot Shot courts right through to professional level hard courts. The facility will be used for both grassroots participation programs and major tournaments / events.

Located on Horse Park Drive the new facility will include;

  • 10 Full Sized ITF Courts
  •  Tennis Hot Shots Courts
  • A hitting wall
  • LED lighting
  • Parking

A pavilion will also be built, however due to budget constraints this will be much smaller than the aspirational goal and ideal size for the facility. This is where we need your support!

The new tennis facility will be home to the NK Foundation with Nick Kyrgios throwing his support behind the plans and announcement.

The NK Foundation was established in 2018 with a goal to help disadvantaged youths have a sporting chance in life.

“My purpose is to give every dream a sporting chance. For the first time, I feel like there is a reason for what I am doing. Tennis is a great life – we are well paid and the perks are pretty good – but it can feel empty if you’re just doing it for the money. I now know what it’s all for.

"When I work on the NK Foundation, I cast my mind forward to all the disadvantaged kids I will be helping. I’m playing for them now". Nick Kyrgios.

Nick Kyrgios and the NK Foundation are committed to make the Amaroo Tennis Centre a reality, and will call it 'home' to the NK Foundation locally. This facility will be used as a hub, and a central point for the NK Foundation programs, media opportunities, appearances, and the NK Foundation Squad. The foundation’s ultimate goal is to help disadvantaged youths have a sporting chance in life, and they will do this through the NK Foundation Squad.

Tennis ACT are seeking businesses and individuals to support the Amaroo Tennis Centre (Gungahlin).
