Tennis Cares

About

Tennis Cares is an initiative of Tennis Australia and the Australian Tennis Foundation. We unite to promote the heritage of the game, great people and ideas, reinventing how we support and engage in community through tennis. We believe communities are at their best when people are healthy, connected to each other and have hope for their futures.

The tennis community can and must be a positive agent for good in the world – and that this is also good for growing the game!

How do we do it? First up, the sport of tennis values teamwork and has actively joined forces across a range of national tennis related foundations. We are aligned to support a range of partners and deliver programs in the areas of youth and education, health and wellbeing, community development and the environment.

Tennis Cares supports projects from grassroots to a global scale. There are two key arms:

initiatives – getting involved and giving back
events – raising funds
Who does Tennis Cares support?
Youth and education
Foundation Cup

Indigenous Advancement

Tennis Unite is supporting five remote indigenous communities of Australia to improve school attendance rates. The program is led by Ian Goolagong and combines leadership, tennis and cultural activities to make communities stronger.

Community development
Disaster relief

Community Hubs

Facilitating the construction and refurbishment of courts at schools and parklands and connecting cultural, tennis and community leadership programs

Community Grants

A local incubator for new ideas that connects people through local tennis initiatives

We couldn’t do all of this without the support of our passionate tennis community, so please donate today! Our overheads are covered by Tennis Australia, meaning that 100% of the donations we receive go direct to what Tennis Cares most about.
