Without trails, there is no mountain biking. It's as simple as that. In 2022 there was over 300 hours of maintenance from the Beechworth Chain Gang club and community members.

About Beechworth Chain Gang

Beechworth Chain Gang is a mountain bike club in north east Victoria. We ride socially, run the odd race, and maintain local trails. We look after the Beechworth Mountain Bike Park (on the fringe of town), Indigo Epic Trail and the Flametrees trail, which runs alongside the Murray to Mountains rail trail about 5 km from Beechworth.

The Beechworth Chain Gang Mountain Bike Club is based in Beechworth, North East Victoria, Australia. Beechworth is a well preserved historic gold mining town that has grown into a major tourist destination with restored colonial architecture and streetscapes, great food and wine, and other attractions.

Beechworth is in the centre of Victoria’s North East Region and is surrounded by National Parks and natural bush. Bordered by the Australian High Country and the Plains of the Riverina, Beechworth is a perfect location to centre yourself for hours of Mountain Bike riding locally and in other close by locations, all within a short drive. Our rugged landscape lends itself to a really unique riding experience.
