Visit websiteFor the last 7 years, the Gordon Women's Cricket Club (GWCC) has been involved in the U15 Western District Carnival in Orange. This competition brings together teams from across the state and provides an opportunity for talented young cricketers to compete in a carnival style environment.
This experience is an important development pathway for young female cricketers who are considering Brewer Shield (U18) and playing Grade cricket in future.
To ensure a great learning experience and development for participants, GWCC will organise a Tour Manager and Coaching Staff for the duration of the tour. Whilst participants pay a levy, it does not cover the full cost of the competition registration, accommodation and coaches fee.
Generally, the shortage is around $2000 annually.
From a Club perspective, we consider this an important investment in the future.
