Tom is on the National Taekwondo Team - he is currently #1 in Australia and sits in the top #50 worldwide.

Tom is currently working towards the 2023 World Championships and qualification for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. This dream requires him to train up to 20-25 hours per week at National Performance Centre and Victorian Institute Of Sport all of which is unpaid.

This is due to the fact the sport of Taekwondo receives limited funding from the Australian Government, resulting in athletes such as Tom juggling part time work, a personal business, bills and livelihood expenses. These expenses add up as athletes venture overseas to compete and the lack of income places a considerable amount of stress on top of the pressures which already come along with competing in high performance support.
