Tom has been selected to represent Australia in the 2023 Asian Volleyball Confederation 1st Men's u16 Volleyball Championships in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. Although he has been selected to represent Australia in the highest level of competition for Indoor Volleyball, each athlete must fund their own journey.
Tom's volleyball journey began back in 2020 when he joined his high school team for Indoor then later Beach. Since then, he developed a passion for both Indoor and Beach Volleyball, trialing and being selected for many representative teams.
So far for 2023, Tom has made :
-Mede the 3rd stage for the 2032 Olympic Scouting for Beach volleyball,
-U16 Qld Beach Volleyball Team where Tom won Gold in Australia and walked away with MVP in Australia
-Tom and his Qld won Gold at the QLD Beach Tour for U17 Boys
-Made the Widebay U15 Schools Cup Indoor Volleyball team
-Made Qld State Inter-Schools Team and Fly down to compete in Australians Indoor Volleyball Schools Cup in June 2023
-Made the U16 Australian Team for Indoor Volleyball and leave to go to Tashkent, Uzbekistan on the 18th July 2023
-Won Gold @ Qld Beach Schools Cup for yr10 Boys for GSHS
-Placed 4th at Australian Beach Schools Cup for GSHS
-Gold at the Widebay Indoor Challange comp for GSHS
In 2022 Tom made :
-Qld Junior's Schools Cup Indoor Volleyball with GSHS
-Qld Senior's Schools Cup Indoor Volleyball with GSHS
-Widebay Schools District team for Indoor Volleyball
-From Widebay he was Selected for the Qld State Inter-schools Team
-Qld Beach Volleyball Schools Cup for GSHS
-U15 State Indoor Volleyball Team where he represented QLD in September 22 at Bendigo and they won gold and he was voted U16 MVP in Australia
-U15 Qld State Beach Volleyball team and his team won gold at Coolangatta
In 2021 Tom has made :
-Gympie High School indoor team where they won 2nd in division 1 at Schools Cup.
-Represented James Nash State High School in the Beach Schools Cup.
-Wide Bay indoor team playing at the Queensland School's Championships.
-u14 Qld Indoor Volleyball team and won Silver
Leading up to this International tournament, he is training with the Queensland School's team to compete in the Australian Schools Championship next month and training with his Australian team in Canberra for the Asian Championships.
