Tracy is an amputee who has successfully qualified for the Crossfit Games in San Antonio, Texas. Tracy is currently placed 3rd in the World and has a real shot at the podium. The road to Texas is not paved with gold...so if you have any spare, we'd really appreciate a leg up (pardon the pun!)

Unbelievable! That is how I felt when I qualified for the Adaptive Crossfit Games after competing in the Open and then the Semi's earlier this year. To be a part of the Australian team heading to Texas in September is something I am so proud of and also humbled by. Any support you can offer is truly gratefully appreciated and accepted with a commitment to do my absolute best.

My story goes back a long way with alot of hurdles trying to live my best life as a woman and an amputee. I was born my left leg shorter than my right with the foot and knee genetically defected requiring me to wear a heavy old boot for years. In what was a difficult decision for my parents we decided to amputate below the knee when I was 9. This was not taken lightly as it was the 70's and no such thing as support networks in those days.

I was lucky to always have sport of some kind in my life and competed for Australia in swimming when I was 14 in what was to become the Paralympic Games. After having children, I stayed active as possible and became a football coach mainly so my boys wouldn't get challenged from other children about their mum having one leg.

Being an amputee can be exhausting always aware that somebody is watching but it also offers a fantastic opportunity to work hard and succeed, like heading to the Adaptive Crossfit Games. Finding crossfit and the wonderful community at Crossfit CQ has enabled and encouraged me to be the best athlete I can. Crossfit offers me a chance to compete alongside abled bodied athletes and contributes hugely to my daily state of mind and just getting on with it.

I am a humble person but I will say I am proud to be a 57 year old fit woman, wife, mother, grandmother, amputee. Travelling to Texas is expensive so I am asking for your help to get there, compete against the best in the world and show that age, sex, disability are all bonuses if you want it to be!

Thank you for your time to get to know me and your support, I will not let you down.
