Our motto, “Stronger Together,” embodies our mission to foster unity and progress through rugby league. As Australia’s oldest provincial rugby league club, founded in 1908, we have been instrumental in the development of many of your favourite elite athletes, competing at the highest level. Beyond the game, we remain dedicated to using rugby league as a platform for community well-being and empowerment.

Female Participation: We support the rapid growth of women’s rugby league, expanding from 1 female team to 3 female teams in just three years. With female participation in rugby increasing by 53.2% nationally, Tweed remains committed to fostering talent through out U17, U19, and Opens female teams that serve as a pathway to the NRLW.

Indigenous & Cultural Recognition: We recognise the significant role rugby league plays in Indigenous communities, within the Northern Rives of NSW and the Gold Coast. With14.5% of our players identifying as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander - surpassing the national average of 12% - we are thoroughly committed to using rugby league as a platform to honor, support and promote reconciliation. Our initiatives include:

·      The Tweed Seagulls Indigenous Rugby Leage Program

·      Collaborations with the Jubullum Village community and Tabulam Public School.

·      Support for programs by PCYC and RedINC.

·      Celebrations of Indigenous Round with a unique jersey, Indigenous dancers, and a Welcome to Country ceremony.

·      Annual Cultural Awareness training for staff and players.

Well-being support for Players and Community Clubs: We prioritise player and staff well-being through strong support and educational programs. To extend our impact, we develop resources for volunteer – run community clubs facing complex challenges. Our annual workshops address mental health, social inclusion, anti-vilification, substance awareness, domestic violence prevention, personal branding, social media and storytelling. These initiatives foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for all.

We need your support to continue delivering these vital community programs. By championing the Tweed Seagulls Community Outreach Programs, you’re not just creating opportunities for talented young athletes – you’re also uplifting under- resourced areas of our community. Our theme, “Stronger Together”, reflects our commitment to unity and progress. Your support will drive measurable, positive change, and as a valued supporter, you may even witness the impact first hand – seeing future stars on your TV screen! Join us in building a stronger, more connected community!
