Hi!

Currently, I am training daily in preparation for the 2023 World Deaf Basketball Championships to take place in Heraklion, Greece, this June. I will represent Australia and the Australian Deaf Community.

I am also a full-time student, working part-time, and giving back to the deaf community.  

'The Goannas' are Australia's national deaf basketball team at the international level. The team comprises the most talented deaf athletes from all over the country. Each month, the team travels to our Melbourne training base where we train together for a weekend before returning to their regular duties in their state.

For the second time in my career, I have qualified to represent my country and join other deaf basketball players to compete in the 2023 World Deaf Basketball Championships.

The Australian Men's Deaf Basketball Team has consistently improved over the last 8 years, going from being unranked to one of the top 5 teams. The Goannas won the first-ever gold medal in Australian deaf sports history at the 2015 Asia Pacific Deaf Games in Chinese Taipei. In 2023, we want to step onto the podium at the World Deaf Basketball Championships in Heraklion, Greece, and compete against the best deaf basketball teams.
