I’m a rowing athlete from South Australia that has been lucky enough to be selected to represent Australia for the first time as part of the Under 21 Australian Sculling Team. The team and myself will compete at the Trans-Tasman Regatta in Lake Karapiro, New Zealand from 27th-29th July. While most costs are covered by Rowing Australia and other rowing organisations, we are expected to pay a seat fee of $3000 to cover remaining costs.
My crew mates of Adam Holland (SA), Andrew Weightman (QLD) and Mitchell Bridge (QLD) are very excited to race against the Canadians and Kiwis, and hopefully bring home the Rusty Robertson Trophy. We will be training hard together in Sydney, Canberra, Queensland and South Australia to put out best foot forward.
This is one step on the journey to my long-term goal of competing at the U23 and senior level over the coming years.
Any donations large or small are greatly appreciated!
Cheers,
Jeremy
