About the project

The Susan Alberti Women in Sport Chair was established in 2019 to focus on research, advocacy and industry-based outcomes to increase opportunities for girls and women in sport and physical activity. The position was a result of the generous support of Susan Alberti AC, a trailblazer for women in sport with a long and proud connection to Victoria University.

The Scholarship Fund is the next step to increase opportunities for women at Victoria University, facilitated by the inaugural Chair Professor Clare Hanlon. Funding will go towards giving women the opportunities they deserve to pursue career goals and strengthen pathways as leaders and players in sport and physical activity. The more visible women become as leaders in the sport and physical activity sector, such as coaches, sport commentators and CEOs, the more achievable it will be to girls seeking a career in this field.

Through Victoria University's fundraising partnership with the Australian Sports Foundation, donations to the VU Women in Sport Scholarship Fund are tax-deductible. So please show your support by donating today!
