About the project

Over the past 5 years the VUFC committee have been working very hard developing the future vision of our great club and an appropriate master plan for our facility. Through a staged approach, we now have the opportunity to turn the dream into a reality. This year we have 980 members (plus another 200 squirts) but unfortunately we continue to turn many away as our club continues to grow and the benefits of our partnerships come to fruition. Unfortunately we cannot cater for all with the existing infrastructure footprint, the current facility does not meet the needs of a modern day football club, nor the expectations of members and quality that they deserve.

We have previously prioritised building a strong foundation, quality football programs, partnerships and pathways to ensure we have a high quality product that can cater for all in our great community now, and into the future. This has been demonstrated to all levels of Government who show support in our pathway forward.

While the broader development will require to be staged over multiple years with Government funding commitments, we are seeking support to fast track progress. The first and most important stage is a new clubhouse, with sufficient change rooms, that are female friendly, accessible toilets for all, canteen with appropriate kitchen, social/spectator viewing areas and storage. The clubhouse will be multi dimensional and support our holiday camps, training and education. In February 2020 Brisbane City Council committed to funding $1m to build a new clubhouse. We have finalised the design with Ausco and the relevant development approval has now been received. Although this will give us a fantastic clubhouse we still need to fit out the building.

Help us fit out our new clubhouse to make it the best possible space for players, parents, friends, our local community, and visitors. Donations will contribute directly to essential equipment for the social room (think nice tables and chairs, TV), quality fitout of change rooms for our players (lockers, comfortable seating, physio tables, whiteboards, to give us the edge on game day and great space for our holiday camps), proper canteen equipment, office space for our staff (desks, screens), and higher end improvements for the bar and deck area.

Donations over $150 will be recognised (if you would like) in the new clubhouse once completed.
