In January 2024 the Woden Waves Water Polo Club will be sending 4 teams to the Australian Youth Water Polo Championships (AYC) in Brisbane (U/14 Boys and Girls and U/16 Boys and Girls Teams) - This page is for our U/16 Girls Team.

These championships run from the 5th-10th January (U/14’s) and 11th-16th January (U/16’s). The team costs to attend this event is $7500 per team – players and their families still have to pay for their own travel and accommodation costs.

To help reduce the costs of attending AYC we are seeking donations to help offset the costs of attending this tournament.

The importance of sport and its positive impact on young people is often underestimated. Improved mental health and wellbeing, self-esteem, general health and fitness, as well as building community links are just some of the many benefits of sport.

The Australian Youth Water Polo Championships is a key event on the Water Polo calendar with some of the best athletes in the country coming together for this tournament. It is a key event to help the ongoing development of our athletes and give them exposure to high level competition.
