About the project

The is an initiative of the Women Sport Australia [WSA], a not-for-profit organisation which influences and leads positive change for women in Australian sport.

  • Each $500 raised will provide the opportunity for a scholarship to be offered to suitable mentees to participate in the program
  • Each $200 raised will assist in attracting high quality mentors to grow the pool available to mentees
  • Your donation will enable WSA to:
    • provide a highly experienced and successful sports management professional to deliver the program all around the country
    • engage an industry expert to produce high quality course materials and provide customised individual support to each mentee
    • increase the number of mentees in the program in 2017 by 50%
    • Reduce the registration fee for mentees by 50% to increase the affordability and accessibility of the program

A donation will help ensure that women and girls in sport will dare to dream and fulfill their ambitions and potential in the sporting arena at all levels, on or off the field of play.

WSA supports Women Playing and Leading in Sport.

I'm an old dude and love how women sport is starting to break the glass ceiling through your success on the national & world stage with little or no funding. What's impressive is the pure way female sports people play their chosen sport, especially their love of the game and their team. It's great the number or our indigenous females are using sport as a pathway out of poverty and possibly into education. \"Keep performing and living your dream, reward must follow some day\"
