Women face many different barriers to entry when starting out in cycling. This includes financial, time constraints, family, confidence, and skills. Through careful planning and a targeted approach, Women's Cycling Brisbane aims to increase participation in road racing and community cycling for women of all ages and abilities. This has many flow-on effects to the broader community, primarily by helping women become healthier, happier, resilient and more confident as they navigate through life and many of the other challenges that women commonly face.

Our specific aims include:

• Evolve the future of women’s cycling to be more inclusive, relational, competitive and community focused.

• To provide value to our sponsors and donors by building integrity and respect through valued relationships with a commitment to community engagement and women’s cycling development.

• To provide an avenue for safe racing for all female cyclists regardless of their skills and abilities.

• To be successful in supporting and developing local female cyclists into competitive women’s racing at local level, national level, and international level.

We currently have 15 female team racers with an additional 30 women in the development squad who are on the fringe of moving up into the team ranks.
