We are seeking donations to fund the purchase of furniture and equipment including, but not limited to:

•      tables and chairs for use by patrons and volunteers inside our multi-use space and external alfresco areas

•      BBQ, commercial coffee machine, glass dishwasher

Investing in our project is an investment in the community, adding value by:

•      Reducing the risk of losing affordable and inclusive sport and recreation,

•      Improving community cohesion through a respectful, safe & secure facility,

•      Boosting local residential values by providing accessible services,

•      Reducing crime and anti-social behaviour and,

•      Continuing to provide an opportunity for hundreds of players, officials, volunteers, supporters and visitors to contribute positively to the local community.

Run by volunteers and supporting a wide range of ages and abilities, Woodville Hockey Club is a not-for-profit organisation providing services and support to the local community since 1952.

As a multicultural sporting club we also have equal representation of both women’s and men’s teams and the backgrounds of our members, spectators and volunteers is as broad as our local community. Programs include pre-school and junior come-and-try sessions, senior competition sport and inclusive walking hockey for those less mobile.

Our community and visitors will benefit from a long overdue upgrade of our clubrooms in 2021 thanks to the Australian Federal Government and the City of Charles Sturt Council. These new facilities will benefit not only our Hockey community but many users across other sporting and community groups and private patrons. We need to furnish and equip this building to meet community standards and make the space friendly and useable.
