World Cup Season 2023

World Cup Season 2023

I am incredibly proud of my accomplishment and the hard work that went into being selected to represent Australia in Beijing at the 2022 Winter Olympics but I know that it is only the beginning for me as a World Class Athlete.

During the 2022 season I chose to specialize and focus on Giant Slalom and Slalom competing at the World Cup level and in National championships, across Europe.

The work I’ve put in over the years to be eligible to compete at this Elite level is paying off, I am regularly qualifying for starts. But the work doesn't stop here. Now that I’ve had a taste of what it takes to be an Olympian and a World Class athlete I am going to continue to push hard to put myself in a position to contend for a medal at the 2026 Winter Olympics in Cortina and a World Cup Globe !

What I've Been Doing

This past year (2021.22 season) I relocated to Europe and spent 8 months training and competing. I chased the World Cup circuit for the majority of the season and mixed in as many Europa Cup and FIS races as I could handle. My season ended in April where I attended races in the US before heading back to Austria for a spring training camp.

Now that I’m back in the Southern Hemisphere, for the first time in 3 years, I plan to complete a 3 month long fitness conditioning and on snow training block (in Australia and NZ) before heading back to Europe for the World Cup season.

It takes commitment and resources to perfect any one skill let alone master the breadth of what it takes to achieve excellence as an Alpine Skier at an Olympics or World Cup level, but I have been giving it my all maximizing the best opportunities and resources I can obtain.

Currently I am ranked in the top 90 in the world in Giant Slalom and top 180 in Slalom. I believe my best is yet to come, which is why no matter the heartache, loneliness and effort involved, I try my best to train, compete, adapt, and improve every day.

What's the bottomline

Now, is a turning point, it’s the next phase of focus and commitment.

I am ready to face new challenges in my quest to be the best.

I need to access great coaching that is well connected, can access training pistes and are equipped with all the resources (gates, video etc etc) so that I am able to maximise my time on-snow in Europe, so I've chosen to work with World Racing Academy (https://www.facebook.com/worldracingacademy)

Your support will help pay for coaching, accommodation and living costs, transport (flights and driving between races), excess luggage, tuning gear, and equipment.

On the back of the ‘Alpine Assault campaign', which helped me last season, I am building the LMS brand and will use this to generate interest, sponsorship and financial backing.

I have set a realistic budget,– anyone who knows me knows I will reign in all my expenses, I can cook, tune my own skis, drive long distances, couch surf and more to make things happen, but the hard truth is that I simply cannot do it alone.

Opportunities (Outside of ASF donation)

I am looking to build partnerships with companies and brands who want to grow particularly in winter sports, travel, adventure lifestyles ort clothing. I'm still trying to secure a helmet, and outerwear supporter for the 2022.23 season. If this is you or you know someone who could help, let me know and I can share the package details .
