Fundraising to help Xavier attend the 2024 Junior World Championships.

Xavier, 17, will be racing for Australia in the 10km Open Water Race event in Italy this September.

The money will help with training/coaching fees, equipment and treatment. Also more importantly Travel and accommodation in lead up events.

Xavier has swam since he was 10. Loved swimming and competing ever since.

He has competed in State and National Championships, collecting great results along the way.

Swimming in the pool was where it all started. Competing mainly in the freestyle events 50m to 400m. Finishing as state champion in those events for the last 3 years in a row. Also making national finals in each of these events and placing 2nd in the 200m free in 2023.

3 years ago, Xavier gave open water swimming a go. Instantly taking to the distance events. In his second year, 2022/23 season, he became the state champion for 5km, 7.5km and 10km events and then at the national championships, he finished 2nd in both the 5km and 7.5km events. This qualified Xavier for his first Australian team and training camps. Again in 2023/24 season, Xavier won all the state categories, 5km, 7.5km and 10km. At the 2024 National championships, Xavier was out touched in the 10km event for a 2nd place and took out his first national title in the 5km race. These results have earned Xavier selection in the National Team to race in the 10km Open Water Swimming event at the Junior World Championships in Sardinia, Italy this September.
