    ABOUT Lamoza Velisha

    Lara, VIC

Hi, I’m La’moza Velisha, a 19-year-old 4★ event rider based at McKenzie Park in Lara, Australia.

I have been riding since I was eight years old and, like many young riders, my journey began at Pony Club. I proudly attended Corio Moorabool Pony Club and Werribee Pony Club, where I developed a love for horses and horsemanship that continues today.

Growing up, I was an avid interschools competitor and enjoyed every equestrian discipline I could try. Games, dressage, showjumping, musical ride—you name it, I gave it a go. One of my proudest achievements as a junior rider was becoming Australian Champion on my off-the-track Thoroughbred, Cash. Those early years taught me invaluable lessons about hard work, sportsmanship, and building partnerships with horses.

Today, I compete a team of horses ranging from young prospects through to international-level 4★ horses. Alongside my riding, I coach, work on our family farm, and assist with the rehabilitation and training of horses.

I am fortunate to train weekly with my coaches, Karen Blythe and Yona Lloyd, whose guidance continues to shape me as both a rider and horsewoman. I am extremely dedicated to my sport and passionate about developing strong partnerships with my horses while always putting their welfare first.

My dream is to become a 5★ event rider, represent Australia on the world stage, and make my family proud. I love producing horses, bringing young horses through the levels, and helping every horse reach its full potential. Horses have always been my passion, and I genuinely love every aspect of the sport.

Over the coming years, I hope to gain valuable international experience, compete in Under 25 international championships, including representing Australia at the Under 25 World Championships, and work towards future Australian team opportunities. My long-term goal is to compete at the highest level of eventing and one day be in contention for Australian Olympic campaigns.

Every day I am committed to learning, working hard, and giving my horses the very best opportunity to succeed. Thank you for supporting my journey and helping me chase these dreams.
