    ABOUT Marcus Murphy

I'm excited to go and share with you that I am representing Australia playing the sport I love (Baseball) in July 2025.

While the ABL (Australian Baseball League) are still deciding if we go to Japan or America I am excited to share my determination, discipline and ambition to get to this stage in my Baseball Career.

I travel from Bendigo to Melbourne 2 days a week to train for baseball and I train 2 days a week in Bendigo all while I am in year 11 and I am studying an accelerated subject which is 3 & 4 P.E, I just can't get enough of sport. As my Nan always says I live, eat and breathe baseball.

Some mornings we get get up 5.30am or earlier to get to my baseball games but thanks to my Mum, Dad and older brothers and sister they always make sure I get to every game, training or tryout, they make sure I never miss an opportunity to further my passion and career for baseball and I am grateful for them all everyday because now I'm here.

I love baseball because it's been in my family since my grandfather played in 1972, my grandparents and dad are life members of Dodgers Baseball Club and my grandparents are also life members of the Bendigo Baseball Association. I have been following in my late Uncle Peter's footsteps and just surpassed my big sister who has also represented Victoria in 2016 & 2017. Safe to say it runs in the family. I feel baseball is what I am best at, but I love how rewarding it has been to win, to grow as a player and a person or just to play and train. I don't just play it because I am good at it, I play it because its my passion and I want to make a career out of it.

To live my dream and travel across the world to play baseball and represent Australia in this once of a lifetime opportunity, not to mention this could be the start of my professional baseball career, I'm reaching out to the sports community for some help to us fundraise!

Anything you can donate would be greatly appreciated by me and my family, but so you know where its going below are some of the costs were expecting!

    • Total cost (including training etc) - $22,000.00 (To go to the USA)
