About the project

Since 1961, the Australian National University Australian Rules Football Club (ANUAFC) has represented the ANU in the Canberra district competition of Australian Rules Football. With two men’s teams and a women’s team, the ANUAFC provides a safe, friendly and fun environment for students and non-students to learn the game of Australian Rules Football.

This development fund has been established to assist the club in its endeavours to be successful on the field at all levels and in the process, develop and grow the sport of Australian Rules Football in the community.

ANUAFC is committed to excellence and funds raised will be used for, but not limited to, the following areas:

  • Installation of a new scoreboard
  • Purchasing of new equipment
  • Upgrading of facilities
  • Team travel to games
  • Coaching and program staff funding

In the modern era, the costs involved with the development of these critical areas of the club have grown significantly, so the support of alumni and other supporters is an essential part of the club’s future success.

Now we need to do more than just compete with other clubs, we need to resource every aspect of our club to the highest level to give our teams and the club we love the very best chance at success.

ANUAFC has partnered with the Sports Foundation, meaning donations to the club are tax deductible.

By donating, you will be ensuring a strong and prosperous club at all levels now and into the future.

Your generosity will make a big difference, so please donate today!

SUPPORT OUR PROJECTS

  • Snub the pub for our club

We raised nearly $1100 in total for Snub the Pub for our Club! Looking forward to an even bigger and better fundraiser next year!

  • Pete Hussin

Good luck with raising the outstanding sum for the new stand.

  • Chris Bowman

    Go ANU!!

  • Gary Samuels

I'm currently leading a group of ANUARFC old boys, ably assisted by Caitlin Roy, lobbying the ANU for an appropriate multi-functional re-build of the iconic South Oval Pavilion. To ensure the re-build remains on track for commencement in the last quarter of 2019, there is still a gap between budget and project costing that needs to be plugged. All contributions made via this facility are not only tax deductible, but will also be matched $ for $ by the ANU -- your support is important.

Stay up to date with everything happening at the sports foundation
