About the project

Annie Wilmot is part of one of the Top Female Sailing Teams in the world, Bryant Wilmot Sailing.  Together with her skipper Natasha Bryant, they hope to reach their goal of Tokyo in 2020.

Annie and Natasha teamed up 3 years ago and in that short time have won every Australian and NSW Youth Championship. In December 2016, they went on to claim gold at the World Youth Sailing championships in New Zealand.

After securing the Youth World Victory the main focus of the team is to represent Australia in the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo in the 49erFX Class.

Annie and Natasha are currently training hard to compete against the best in the world to fast track their preparation for Olympic Selection. This involves competing in three World Championships this year:

  • North American and Junior World Championships in Kingston, Canada in June 2017
  • Open World Championships in Portugal in August 2017
  • 2017 World Youth Sailing Championships in China in December to defend their Youth World Championship Title.

All funds will go directly towards equipment purchases, equipment development, coaching, travel and transportation of boats and equipment overseas. With your donation, you will receive a tax-deductible receipt by email as soon as funds have been received into the Australian Sports Foundation account.

Thank you for your support, Annie and Natasha look forward to representing Australia this year.
