About the project

It's been one of my goals to represent the State in Ice Hockey. I love being on the ice, training with a team and focusing on individual execution and the team's objectives. This is just the beginning of an exciting journey, which will take a lot of hard work and dedication.

My name is Cody Reader and I am proud to be selected to represent Western Australia in the State 13 Years and Under Ice Hockey Team in the Phil Ginsberg Trophy National Ice Hockey Tournament being held in Melbourne in August 2018. I'm honoured to join a great team of state players working with the best coach's and will give it my all on and off the ice.

Ice Hockey is a growing sport in Australia played on ice, its fast-paced with six players on the ice, a goaltender and five players skating up and down the ice per team trying to score or defend goals.

Following the Phil Ginsberg Trophy National Ice Hockey Tournament, I hope to compete in a mixed club team in the New Zealand Ice Hockey Tournament in October 2018 and to be selected to participate in the National Ice Hockey Development Camp held in New South Wales in January 2019, attendance by invitation only. As part of my development plan I hope to participate in international ice hockey development camps which will enable me to continue to develop as an athlete, training and competing at an elite and international level.

Thank you for taking the time to read my project and if you would like to support my journey all proceeds will contribute towards travel and accommodation expenses, training and coaching for player development, ice hockey equipment, State and International tournaments for current and future events.
