About the project

Having the opportunity to compete and paddle with the worlds best is something I have dreamed of doing ever since I started paddling five years ago. I have trained and pushed myself so hard to be in a position where I was fast enough to meet the selection time in Australia and looking forward to seeing where I sit on an international level. The experience I gain from being overseas and competing will teach me many things that will improve my performance and lead to one day making senior team and being one of the worlds top athletes in Wildwater.

I will be leaving Australia on the 10th of July, where I am very lucky to have been given the opportunity to train for a week in Slovenia with the world champion Nejc Znidaric. I then move down to Bosnia where I train with the Australian Team for two weeks prior to competing in the Junior Wildwater World Championships on the 27th to 29th of July.

As Part of my selection for the National Development Sqaud in Canoe Slalom, I will also compete in the International Canoe Federation world ranking races in Prague, Czech 03-04 Aug, Bratislava, Slovakia 10-11 Aug, Vienna, Austria 17-18 Aug and fly back to Australia on the 22nd of August.

We have been trying to fundraise through BBQ’s and raffles and my mum and stepdad are working 7 days a week to try and save the money for me to be able to experience this opportunity so any donations would help us so much.
