Introducing Amelia, a student at Westfields Sports High, a member of Westfields Athletics Club and Holroyd Little Athletics Centre and ...... a 2 x Australian National medal holder.

Awarded Bronze in both U14 Pole Vault and Hammer Throw in 2022.

In early 2022 Amelia added Pole Vault and Hammer Throw to her long list of events that she already trained for. Within 8 weeks she entered her first NSW Juniors Championship for Hammer throw and won Silver, qualifying for the Australian Championships in Sydney. Four weeks later she won a National Bronze medal!

Later that year she entered the NSW All Schools Championships for Pole Vault and won Gold, qualifying for the Australian All Schools Championships in Adelaide. Eight weeks later she won a National Bronze medal!

In 2023 Amelia continued to train hard, her goal was to win a medal for both events in the same competition. She achieved that at State level in October, winning Gold in Pole Vault and Silver in Hammer Throw @ the NSW All Schools Championships.

This qualified her for both events @ Australian All Schools Championships at Perth in December 2023. With tough competition she placed 5th in both events as well as scoring a PB in Pole Vault from 2.45m to 2.65m!!

Next on the 2024 agenda is the NSW Juniors Championships (* update* Achieved Gold in Pole Vault with a new PB of 2.80m and Bronze in Hammer with a new PB of 40.38m) followed by the Australian Juniors Championships at Adelaide in April 2024. Her goal now is to win medals in both events at a National level.

Interstate travel is expensive especially when it is multiple times a year.
