Hello my name is Angelene McLean, I'm 11 years old and this year (2024) through Pickleball Australia - Australia Ranking (AR), I became the no.1 Junior in Australia for both Junior Singles and Girls Doubles pickleball. :) Please support my continued development for the Junior PPA Australia Tour and beyond.

I want to continue being the No.1 Junior in Australia and continue to be very competitive locally to give me the experience to become the No.1 Junior in the World. It's my goal to continue to develop my pickleball mechanics, skills, body and importantly my pickleball mindset. I'd love to one day play in the Olympics and represent Australia "when" the sport will be included!

I train/drill daily with my dad and other pickleball coaches as well as play social pickleball 3 to 5 times a week​ in our Pickleball FUN Community pickleball club. I am very committed to working very hard on improving and becoming the best pickleball female player in Australia and then the World.

Even at the age of 11, I have already played in many tournaments in Australia and a lot more within our weekly mini-tournaments with the club, and have medalled at everyone, acquiring more golds than any other medal. :)

As I have been playing pickleball for less than 2 years now, I have​ come from a high-level junior tennis background since the age of 6 years old. This growing sport has given me the passion and work ethic to do what I must, to be the best I can be and to put in the necessary work to get there. I worked hard to achieve my goals and this work ethic will be used in my awesome journey of Pickleball.

The​ money will be used for the following:

• Daily training with my pickleball coaches, and a fitness/health coach, focusing on shot mechanics, court awareness/anticipation skills, mindset and body health.

• Acquiring all my equipment (paddles & pickleball balls) and clothing (shoes).

• All travel (flights, car hire & uber rides) and accommodation for AU inter-state and NZ flights.

• Court hire, pickleball machine hire and other pickleball equipment needed for my daily training.

• Monthly membership for my pickleball facility which will also apply to using the gymnasium and pool for my core and strength training.

• All tournaments from Junior PPA, State and National entry fees.

• All other activities related to my growth in pickleball, to maintain my Junior No.1 pickleball status in Australia and develop my abilities even further, to compete at international tournaments.

There​ is currently no funding for this sport in Australia so any amount that you can donate will be greatly appreciated and go a long way to helping me reach my national Junior PPA Tour Australia and very soon International Pickleball goals!
