About Me:
I am a single mother of two neuro-diverse children and a university student. Spartan has played a crucial part in strengthening my mental health after having a breakdown in 2021, which resulted in my being in a suicidal depressive state. After putting in the hard work to overcome my depression, I now focus on creating a happy and safe life for my children and myself while working towards finishing a bachelor's degree.
My Spartan Journey:
I started participating in Spartan in 2016 and began to compete in the competitive Age Group category in 2021. Over the last 4 years, I have gained a podium position in many of my events, including placing as 2nd overall female in the Fiji Ultra in 2024. It was this event that convinced me to aim for the World Championships and take the opportunity to compete against the best in the world.
Becoming a Stormchaser:
My Hurricane Heat journey began in Bright in 2024 when an injury prevented me from taking on my planned Ultra. This 4 hour event sparked a personal desire to see just how far I could push my mind and body, while working with my team to complete a variety of challenges designed by our Krypteia (Staff). Through 2024, I completed 3 x 4hr heats, and finished a 12 and 24hr heat back to back at the first Endurance weekend held in Australia.
About the Ultra World Championships:
Day 1 will see me taking on the Elite division of the Ultra World Championship 50km Ultra.
Day 2 will be split between the 21km Beast and the 4hr Hurricane Heat.
Day 3 will wrap up the weekend with the 10km Super and the 5km Sprint.
Breakdown:
