Atharva Pansare (age 13) recently competed at the 2022 World Taekwondo Championships Cadet/Junior selection event and won a Gold medal. He is now selected to represent Australia at the 2022 World Taekwondo Cadet Championships to be held in Sofia, Bulgaria (Europe) from 28th July to 31st July 2022.

Unfortunately there is no funding available for the Championships with Australian Taekwondo association, who have advised to seek sponsorship assistance from the local councils, state association, fundraiser campaigns.

The estimated expense by Australian Taekwondo for Atharva to be part of Australia team for this championship is approx. $5800.

Atharva has been into martial arts since early childhood. He started Taekwondo when we came to Australia in 2017 and has achieved remarkable success with hard work, dedicated efforts and skilled coaching at Champions and Taya Taekwondo NSW clubs to earn his 1st Dan- black belt and has won several Gold medals in Taekwondo at NSW State and National level tournaments in Australia.

This year, he has participated and won Gold at NSW State in Sydney, Nationals in Brisbane, Gold Coast Open & World Championships selection. Atharva will now be attending a special training in South Korea and competing at Korea Open prior to the world championships to upskill his game at international level. (All self-funded). Atharva is training hard, 5 days a week as this is the biggest event for him to represent Australia at the world level.

We are fundraising with the Australian Sports Foundation for Atharva to represent Australia at the 2022 World Taekwondo Championships.

All donations, no matter how small, will help Atharva represent Australia at world level at such a young age. The advantage of using the Australian Sports Foundation is that all donations are tax deductible so you can recoup some of your donation at tax time!
