As a result of Jess' performance at the 2023 Indoor Cricket National Championships in Ipswich QLD, she has been selected to represent Australia at the U18 Girls Indoor Cricket World Cup to be played in Dubai, UAE. The tournament is run by the World Indoor Cricket Federation (WICF) and will be played from 29th September, 2023 to 7th October, 2023.

This selection is an amazing achievement and we (her parents and siblings) are extremely proud of her.

Jess started playing cricket 3 years ago as she wanted to trial for the Sydney South West Cricket team. I said "that's for people who play cricket". Jess said "Sign me up then". From there Jess' love for cricket grew. In a short amount of time she has gone from having never played cricket to being selected to represent Australia at the World indoor Cricket championships. Jess is also a member of the Cricket NSW Metro Academy Squad, which has helped her develop her technical skills and helped improve her mental toughness when playing.

As you can imagine this is a dream come true for Jess and she still can't believe that she is going to be playing indoor cricket overseas for Australia. Players are required to self fund their tour to Dubai. The estimated cost is $5,300 each. This includes tournament costs, international flights, accommodation, two meals per day, bus transport and apparel.
