The project aims to build social connectedness and strong Australian values for Afghan women men and youths (especially youths of single mothers).

AWOTM has run these programs for women very successfully, we have a track record. Currently we have over 300 men & women on waiting list for our Life Skills project.

We offer driving lessons linked to other wellbeing activities.

AWOTM will include sessions to help promote a healthy and socially appropriate lifestyle for all. It is multifactorial project.

This funding will give the women, men and youths a great step up in this community. It will give donating members an opportunity to support migrant men and those of any other nationality who are struggling with isolation. One of our measures of success is to see if these participants go on to join community activities like joining local clubs, school voluntary activities and seeking work in the area.

AWOTM has previously conducted successful projects aimed at empowering immigrant women, such as teaching them how to swim and drive. These programs have significantly enhanced their safety and independence within Australia.

AWOTM’s mission has been to support Afghan and Multicultural men, women & youth to find their purpose, power and place in Australia. In three years, AWOTM has developed a support network of 6,500 Afghan women and men in Australia, and in the global diaspora.
