Ballarat High School has had a rowing program on and off for over 100 years! It has competed in the Head of the Lake since 1944. We are one of very few government schools that has a rowing program and we try to offer the sport of rowing at an affordable cost to our community. In 2024 the school Boat Club (parent fundraising committee) celebrated its 50th year of support to the rowing program.

The school is in need of updating it's rowing boat fleet and other rowing related equipment. Over the next 18-24 months we need 2 new boats so we have the correct equipment to run the program. We will also need electronic equipment such as cox boxes and GPS units for coaching tools. Boat can be over $20,000. electronic equipment can range from $1000-$2000 each
