Hi. I'm Ben Fourie. I am 14 years old and currently in year 9 at Greenwood College. I was awarded a volleyball scholarship in year 7 and am proud to say I have worked hard to prove that I was the correct recipient of that scholarship.

In 2022 I was selected to captain the u15 team that represented Western Australia at the Youth Volleyball Championship in Bendigo. The tournament was highly competitive, and we managed to secure the bronze medal!

In April I was invited to Canberra to trial for the Australian u/16 team and have been selected into the team to represent Australia at the 2023 Asian Cup Volleyball Championship to be held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan from 19 July - 1 August.

There is a significant financial implication in competing abroad, including the air fare, ground travel to the sporting venue, accommodation, uniform and tournament fees so I am trying to fundraise to cover these costs.

My parents have been instrumental in allowing me to follow my dream of representing Australia in an Olympic Games and this is certainly my first step towards that!

Please help me get to Uzbekistan to take part in an international tournament where I will be representing Australia for the first time.
