Brisbane State High School's P&C Athletics and Cross Country Subcommittee is raising funds to reduce student levies for the boys and girls Athletics and Cross Country teams.

Through your generous support we will subsidise the rising cost of buses to events, the hire of the UQ Sport Athletics Centre and Queensland Sport and Athletics Centre venues and support the purchase of specialist athletic equipment:

• Busing students to remote locations for GPS & QGSSSA cross country events is an unavoidable and expensive cost.
• The hiring of large venues for training and hosting meets is an expectation of participating in the esteemed GPS and QGSSSA Athletics programs.
• Equipment such as Javelins require regular replacing and upgrading for the students to remain competitive.

By reducing the compulsory levies, the P&C Association hopes to make cross country and athletics more accessible and therefore more inclusive for students.

Brisbane State High School prides itself on the broad variety of experiences the school makes available for all students and by decreasing costs, the Athletics and Cross Country Subcommittee hopes more students will be able to participate and feels this will contribute positively to student wellbeing.
