Budokan Judo Club is more than a sports club. We fight from the heart and continue to grow generations of healthy and well-rounded Australians who contribute positively to the community now and in the future.

Our story starts with 1999 when an enthusiastic and devoted Olympic judo couple decided to create something unique in the Hills Shire: an inclusive place for families with international quality training for elite athletes and recreational players of all ages and origins.

For over 25 years our Judo club has been a vibrant and high performing hub. A large NFP with over 200 members and families aged 4 to over 80 years, we are deeply rooted in the local community, with generations of Olympians training our members of all abilities.

We believe that in a joyful, family oriented yet high performing environment everyone can reach their best potential.

We are regularly rated as the Best Performing Club at National Championships, and our athletes compete all over the world, including the Olympics and Commonwealth Games.

As our local community rapidly expands, Budokan Judo Club is experiencing a significant increase in membership. The Growing Judo, Growing Community Project is our plan to support this growth responsibly and inclusively, ensuring that we continue to deliver high-quality judo experiences while remaining accessible to all.

This project will help us expand our capacity, retain talented coaches, improve safety through upgraded equipment, efficiently manage our ever-growing membership base.
