I am competing at the upcoming 25th Annual Molokai to Oahu (M2O) Paddleboard World Championships in Hawaii in July 2024.

As one of Australia’s top performers at the M2O I am once again ready to race, against the best, at one of the world’s oldest and most gruelling paddle events.

These world championships are like no other paddle board event. Racing in the “Channel of the Bones” from Molokai to Oahu, the fastest downwind route, over one of the deepest channels in the world. This race will challenge every paddler’s physical and mental endurance as we compete the 32 gruelling miles (54km).

Many of you know of my dedication to paddling and my love of the ocean. As a 16 year old in 2017 I became the youngest ever Australian to compete at these world championships. In 2018/19 I was the winner of the Australian Ocean Racing Series.

As one of the top performers in the world at the Molokai to Oaha World Championships over recent years I am once again embracing the challenge of competing in the ultimate race that will test my paddling skills, my endurance and my knowledge of the ocean as I manoeuvrer against the unpredictable weather conditions the Kuai channel creates.

With a third place podium finish at the Last World Championships in 2023 I am aiming to again compete with the best in the world. I have placed in the top 10 every time I have competed at World Championships and this year is shaping up to be one of the best.

World Championships is an entirely self-funded event with no sponsorship or government support. The opportunity to race in this incredible channel against the best in the world will cost me in excess of $15,000. Having to cover the cost of a boat driver, support crew as well as flights and accommodation.

As a Central Coast based athlete, I am also a valued community member seen regularly volunteering at Terrigal and Copacabana surf clubs and helping out fellow up and coming athletes. I am generous with my time and sharing of knowledge and expertise to the next generation of paddlers.

I value and appreciate the support of my community, fellow athletes and supporters assisting me with my aspirations to again compete at the upcoming Paddleboard World Championships in Hawaii.
