Charlie Hudson-Czerniecki - World FITASC Sporting Championship Campaign

My name is Charlie Hudson-Czerniecki and I have been selected for the Ladies Team to represent Australia at the upcoming 46th World FITASC Sporting Championship being held in the USA in June 2024.

I started shooting rifles around the age of 8 and once I got my Junior Firearms licence at the age of 14 I decided to give shooting clay targets a go. I have shot DTL, ISSF Trap, Universal Trench, American Skeet. In the last 12 -18 months have focused on shooting Field & Game events and joined Sporting Clays Australia in 2023. I have really enjoyed the transition into shooting at sporting events as I relish the mental and technical challenges of the sporting discipline. I enjoy adapting to different terrains and targets at clubs around the country and the sense of comradery around the traps. Some of my notable achievements include:

·      ISSF Trap – National Title – Bronze 2019

·      Women’s Trap Team Azerbaijan – Silver 2022

·      ISSF Trap – Commonwealth Title Bronze 2023

·      Field & Game Nationals – 2nd in Ladies 2023

·      Field & Game English Sporting Nationals – 2nd in Ladies 2023

·      Sporting Clays Australia COMPAK Nationals – 2nd in Ladies 2023

·      Australian FITASC Grand Prix - Ladies Champion 2024

·      Team member of two Junior World Cups, one Junior World Championship, and one Open World Cup (in ISSF Trap).

I recently attended at the FITASC Australian Grand Prix and was lucky enough to win the Ladies category after a shoot off. I was selected for the Ladies team for the World Championships and whilst I am not used to reaching out and asking, I need your help in order to perform at my best overseas.

I can’t do this on my own and I am now asking for your help with the expenses associated with my training in the lead up to travelling to the USA as well as the costs of international travel, transfers and accommodation. I have no annual leave to rely on and will be reducing my hours in the lead up to the event being held in Hudson, Wisconsin to ensure I am at my most competitive. I have calculated my budget I realise that times are hard for a lot of people right now but even if you could spare $10 it would all help.

This financial support which is tax deductible to donors thanks to the ASF, will be vitally important. Without your help, my commitment to training and travel will be extremely difficult.
