Chloe Horgan

Chloe Horgan

As a 3-year-old Chloe Horgan loved being upside down. Ten years later, Chloe has fervently pursued her passion for women's artistic gymnastics and strives for each goal she sets with perseverance. Chloe has the opportunity to attend international competitions with her club Waverley Gymnastics Club along with a training camp marking a significant moment in her gymnastics journey.

This is for Travel in 2024.

Chloe has partnered with the Australian Sports Foundation to help raise much-needed funds. Chloe is tracking well on the international pathway and is fundraising to compete overseas in the upcoming year.

The money will assist Chloe with the financial burdens associated with participating in international competitions. Chloe is currently competing in the junior international division as an athlete. She is a highly dedicated and motivated athlete, training 28+ hours a week.

Fundraising will provide crucial support to alleviate some of the expenses such as flights, accommodation, and rules for Under 16s requiring a chaperone. This will allow Chloe to continue on her path to represent Australia. Chloe has recently faced a great personal challenge when she lost her father in 2022.

Whilst International travel at pinnacle events such as the Olympics, Commonwealth Games, and World Championships are currently funded by Gymnastics Australia, it is the crucial international experience that is required in the years prior (for Senior, Junior International, and Future International gymnasts) to compete at international events that are often integral to future selection to these events. The international competitions for development and experience for junior athletes are self-funded.

With Australia so remote from the rest of the World, the cost for Chloe to attend international events compared to gymnasts in the USA and Europe is significantly higher, leading to her not having the same opportunities to gain invaluable international experience as her counterparts overseas. We ask that you make a 100% tax-deductible donation to Chloe's travel fund today. Chloe is a very focused and hard-working gymnast and your support is greatly appreciated. Many thanks from Chloe and her family.
