Paddle Against Poverty 2024

Paddle Against Poverty 2024

Paddle Against Poverty began with the idea that it wouldn't be difficult for a handful of local Christian surfers to give up a few hours and paddle a significant distance to help make a significant difference in children's lives.

Over the ensuing 23 years, the event has grown from a small handful of keen surfers, to a community event of over 100 paddlers. Tens of thousands of dollars have been raised for impoverished children in countries whose waves we exploit and where the local communities are often overlooked.

Paddle Against Poverty 2024 is a special event by Christian Surfers Australia where paddlers will raise funds to alleviate poverty by paddling over 10kms in Wollongong and Perth.

All of the money raised as part of Paddle Against Poverty 2024 will be shared equally between the following surf charities:

SurfAid

Mercy Huts
