I have been selected as an emergency player for the first Australian Hockey5s Team that will travel to the first ever Hockey5s World Cup. 

The Hockey5s World Cup will come around every 4 years. The Australian Hockey5s team will be competing in the Middle East in Muscat, Oman in January 2024, coming up against some of the best nations and players in the world. Prior to the World Cup commencing the team will be attending a camp to train and play warm up matches to prepare for the tournament. Additional to the camp will be other state and national tournaments that I will attend as part of ensuring I am ready to go.

Even though it’s a national team, Hockey5s is a fully self-funded sport and I’m required to fund this trip myself including travel, accommodation, uniforms and any other team costs. I have already paid to attend training camps and as well as the Oceania World Cup Qualifier, which we successfully placed 1st and secured a spot in the World Cup.

Any donations would help in a massive way and be greatly appreciated as this is such a rare and exciting opportunity for me. Any funds raised will support me in ensuring I am prepared and remain ready for a call up to the team at any stage.
