Darcey’s ninja journey began when she was just 5 years old, and by the age of 6, she had already earned her first national title at the Australian Ninja Games Nationals in Canberra! Since then, Darcey has continued to excel, consistently placing at the top in state titles for her age group and competing in national ninja league events.
Darcey’s talent has earned her a spot on Team Australia FOUR times, qualifying to compete internationally at the Ultimate Ninja Athlete Association (UNAA) Championships and TWICE at the World Ninja League (WNL) Championships – both incredible achievements, with the events held in the USA.
This year is especially exciting as Darcey has qualified again for BOTH international leagues! She’s set to compete in the WNL Championships from June 20-23 in Greensboro, North Carolina, and the UNAA from July 10-12 in Dallas, Texas. However, depending on the funds raised, Darcey may only be able to compete in the UNAA. Either way, both leagues are celebrating their 10th anniversaries, making this an unforgettable opportunity!
As a family, we’ve always done our best to support Darcey’s dreams, ensuring she has the chance to compete across Australia and showcase her talent. Along the way, she’s not only become incredibly dedicated and determined, but also built lasting friendships and a strong support network of coaches and mentors throughout the years.
Although ninja is not yet a government-recognized sport, it’s growing. Darcey is also part of an exciting study at the University of Queensland, which is examining how ninja training enhances strength and endurance in young athletes. Her strength is truly remarkable—she’s been doing pull-ups with an extra 25% of her body weight since the age of 8, completed the salmon ladder at 9, cleared a 14-foot warped wall at just 10.
At 11 years old, Darcey is ready to take her skills to the international stage. We’d be so grateful if you’d partner with us to help make this dream a reality. The funds raised will go directly towards covering travel expenses, competition fees, and the Australian uniform she'll wear to represent her country.
Darcey has proven time and time again that she has the talent and determination to succeed, and with your support, we know she can accomplish even more incredible things!
