Hi,

My name is Doogal McKenzie. I am currently a Year 12 student at St

Augustine's College, Sydney and have been involved in the school rowing program

since Year 7.

I have just been selected to compete in the World Junior Rowing

Championships in Paris, France in August 2023. After years of very early

morning starts, long training hours and competition, it is a great honour to

have the chance to represent Australia in the sport I love.

Even better is that I am competing with my Year 12 schoolmates,

Joe, Oscar & Tane along with our cox, Ryder in the Under 19 Coxed Four. We

will leave Sydney on July 14 for a 2 week training camp in Varese, Italy,

before heading to Paris to compete from August 2-6.

I understand this is a great

privilege and amazing opportunity and I'd like to thank all of those who have

supported me on this journey so far.
