I have just moved to Italy to play at an Italian club. With wheelchair basketball there is very little money and as much as moving away to another country sounds like a dream for an athlete it is for very minimal money. 

However in wheelchair basketball this is the only place we can find money to make a basic living off of. In my opinion this not fair as I work just as hard as an able body athlete who can go overseas take people with them and make millions.

Leaving my family, friends and loved ones has been tough as I truly am wanting to travel representing my country but I want to be able to make a living playing basketball in Australia while being able to see my loved ones more then a few months a year! I understand this could sound rather selfish. However my long term dream is to not have to leave to be able to get by day to day.

One of my biggest dreams since I was a kid is to lead the normalisation of high profiled people with disability in Australia. However that is hard to do from 16,000 kilometres away.
