As an 18 year old volleyball athlete, my journey started over seven years ago. I am originally from Melbourne where I trained and competed with school, state and national representative teams. However, recently I have moved away from home and my family in the pursuit of a volleyball career. I am now training full time in Canberra at the Australian Institute of Sport as a part of the Australian Volleyball Academy. 

Recently, I have reaped the rewards of my hard work and dedication as I have been selected to represent Australia at the 22nd Asian Women’s U20 Volleyball Championships. To wear the green and gold has been a dream of mine since first stepping foot on a volleyball court and I feel incredibly honoured to be one of the few athletes chosen. Going to this championship is a crucial step for me in achieving my long term goal of competing at the 2032 Brisbane Olympics.

This tour entails travelling to Japan to attend a training camp in preparation for the week long competition being held in China. At this competition we need to achieve a top two finish in order to qualify for the U20 World Volleyball Championships in 2025. Any donations go towards covering the cost of participating in this tour. The levy includes return flights to Japan/China, accomodation and meals, ground transport in Japan/China, management fees – staff and physio, tournament entry and charges, and playing uniform.
