Support Our International Players: International Player Support Initiative

The Greensborough Hockey Club is excited to introduce the International Player Support Initiative, a project dedicated to fostering global talent and enhancing our club’s cultural diversity. This initiative aims to provide comprehensive support to overseas hockey players who join our teams, ensuring they have a positive and enriching experience while contributing to our club's success in the Premier League. Please note that funds are not used to pay players or contribute to their airfares. The purpose of the fund is solely to support them with fees, uniforms, local transport, and other essential expenses without increasing member fees

Why Your Support Matters

Hosting international players enriches our club by bringing diverse skills, perspectives, and cultural experiences. However, these players often face significant challenges, including financial burdens associated with living away from home. Your generous contributions can make a substantial difference in their lives and their ability to focus on playing hockey at their best.

How Your Donations Will Be Used

1. Reimburse Host Families:
   1. Food and Accommodation: Offset the costs incurred by host families for providing food and accommodation, ensuring that international players have a comfortable and supportive living environment.
2. Cover Membership Fees and Uniforms:
   1. Club Membership Fees: Pay for the players' membership fees to the Greensborough Hockey Club, allowing them to participate fully in all club activities and competitions.
   2. Uniforms and Clothing: Supply necessary uniforms and other clothing items required for training and matches, ensuring the players are well-equipped and proudly represent our club.
3. Assist with Local Transport Costs:
   1. Transport Expenses: Help cover the cost of local transport, including travel to and from training sessions, matches, and other club-related activities, facilitating easier integration into the community.
4. Cover Other Incidental Expenses:
   1. Miscellaneous Support: Address any additional needs or incidental expenses that arise, such as medical supplies, training equipment, or other essentials that support the players' well-being and performance.

Our Goal

For the current financial year, we aim to raise $15,000. This amount will ensure that our international players are well-supported and can focus on their development and performance without financial strain.

• Tax-Deductible Donations: All contributions made through the Australian Sports Foundation (ASF) are tax-deductible, allowing you to support our initiative while benefiting from tax deductions.
