I began sailing in a tiny Mudlark Dinghy when I was 5 and had my first expirence in the Ocean at the Mandura Easter Regatta on the Western Austarian coast known for its huge swell. Moving to Rockingham, sailing on Cockburn Sound, I progressed to the Minnow dinghy and then on to the 2 crewed, 3 sail, Flying Ant. That as the best fun and in two years I won the state championships with brother Jack on the wire. Then whispering Arthur Brett convinced me to step into the 29er with brother Jack and massively under weight we did a lot of swimming in almost the oldest 29er still sailing - 024 - for a year. With a break, engineered by Belinda Stowel, to participate in the 420 Worlds in 2017 at just 11, returning to the skiff took some determination but paid off 2 years later, after being selected to train in the Western Australian Institute of Sport and coaching from truly technical engineers and olympic gold medalists (Plus Parko's shorts), at the Youth Championships in Melbourne where just Jack falling off the wire and me sliding off the back slipped us from a trip to Rio to 4th place.

A move on was now required as we were just too heavy to compete competitively on the delicate skiff. Up steeped Arthur again and whispered sweet nothings about foiling. Try this!! and here we are. Qualified to represent Australia at the youth worlds in The Hague and competing in the Open class in the European Championships in October.

Under instructions from Belinda Stowel, having fun on the board, and play leads the way to experimentation and eventual success in achieving the first foiling tack and a deluge of publicity. They've called it the Harrack!

The only way to improve at the top level is to race with the best which means regular travel to international events. Luckily the School of Remote Learning & Education (SIDE) in Perth can support my schooling whilst away but your donations are critical to my hopes of representing Australia at Olympic Level.
