My name is Hayden Todd and I have been selected to represent Australia in the World U20 Track and Field Championships in Lima, Peru from the 27th - 31st August 2024. At these championships, I will compete in the 800m. In the most recent U20 Australian Championships in April, I placed first in the 800m. Due to there being little to no opportunities in Australia to compete before this competition, I am traveling to Europe to train at altitude at St Moritz (Switzerland) which will also provide access to excellent competition opportunities to best prepare me for the biggest competition of my career thus far. As I am currently studying for a degree in Medical Radiation Science (Medical Imaging) at the University of Canberra and am a self-funded athlete, the $6000 levy plus extra costs (around $5000) for travel and accommodation in Europe is a considerable expense. I also work casually at a local store where I work as much as I can to help fund this trip. I would be extremely grateful for any donations made!!
