✨ My Gymnastics Journey – Support My Ongoing Path to Representing Australia

Hi everyone! My name is India Colombi and I’m a Senior International gymnast, categorised by the AIS in Women’s Artistic Gymnastics.

I have been doing gymnastics since I was 5 years old, and I've never looked back. From the beginning, I knew this sport was something special to me. Over the years, I’ve committed myself completely—through highs, lows, injuries, and countless hours in the gym. At 13, I moved from South Australia to Brisbane to pursue my elite gymnastics pathway, and now train up to 30 hours a week at Delta Gymnastics.

In 2024, I was proud to be named 1st Place All-Around National Champion at the Gymnastics National Clubs Carnival. This is one of my most outstanding achievements to date.

 I am currently studying a double bachelor's degree at university, while full-time training as well. You can understand how this could be challenging, having to balance full-time studying and training, whilst continuing with the expenses of this demanding high performance sport.

💫 Why I'm Fundraising

My journey has reached an exciting new chapter, with increasing international training and competition opportunities—including recent selection for a tour of Canada with the Canadian National Team and other high-performance athletes.

This was a major step toward achieving my goal of representing Australia at the 2026 Commonwealth Game, along with the consideration to be part of the 2025 Fisu World University Games. Unfortunately, due to back to back injuries within a year, I was unable to attend these international opportunities. Nevertheless, after long months of recovering and seeing the relevant doctors to get healthy again, I am all the more determined to get back on the horse and reach my long awaited goals and dreams. 

With that, these amazing opportunities fulfilling my goals and dreams also come with significant costs. These include: x2 (at least) National Training Camps at the AIS, medical treatment and physiotherapy, state and national uniforms and competitions  (self-funded) - the financial commitment is ongoing. Your support through this ongoing fundraiser will help cover these immense and ongoing costs throughout my journey.

These expenses quickly add up across tours, training camps, and major events throughout the year. With your help, I can continue taking each step toward my long-term goal of competing for Australia on the international stage.
